Your body is made up of approximately 50 trillion cells that are governed by the master controller of the body: the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and nerves). Your brain communicates with the trillions of cells throughout your body by sending impulses down the spinal cord and over the nerves, ultimately reaching and conducting each individual cell.
Your cells also communicate with the brain along the same neural pathway over the nerves and spinal cord back to the brain. You live your entire life through your nervous system – right now, your heart is beating, your lungs are breathing, your liver and kidneys are processing, all without you thinking about it.
Your conscious thoughts and experiences, whether or not you have words to associate with them, cause messages to be sent back and forth over this same network between the brain and the cells. What would happen if the information super-highway of the nervous system was compromised in some way and this communication network could not function at 100%? It would interfere with your body’s innate ability to adapt, heal, and feel fully alive.
We all experience stress in our lives. Some stress is a good thing and keeps us excited in life, but when there is too much physical (slip, fall, sedentary lifestyle), emotional (relationship conflict, work, illness), or chemical stress (pollution, drugs, toxic personal care and cleaning products) for the body to process, this leads to nerve interference in the spine and causes communication breakdown in the nervous system, called vertebral subluxation.
When a person is subluxated, it limits the body’s innate ability to heal, repair, regulate, and thrive. Our primary goal is to identify and correct subluxations so that you can live a life fully alive.
